I'm pretty much a fuckin loser. My girlfriend says otherwise. I play Space Engineers, Fallout, and like to think of shit that makes me feel anything. Yeah, pretty depressing. But I dream of one day going to space, so that's my plan right now.

I got the scheme I want for the sky. Looks great, very... Starry Night meets Aurora Borealis. But it still looked wrong. Then I checked over a few settings aaand... viola. The whole thing was in 72pixel/inch as opposed to the 300pixel/inch I used for the first page. I gotta refine the entire page now, but at least I'm getting somewhere now! I don't want to put a deadline on any of my projects, but this chapter *should* be done next week. If I have time I'll redo the title page with the improved pixel count as well.

EDIT: I vastly underestimated the amount of information in this chapter and overestimated my ability to balance work, social life and working on this. I am putting in about 1-2 hours daily, so it is getting done slowly but surely. Eventually I'll have this all balanced out, I'm sure.

I just can't get the night sky to look decent. It looks off no matter what I do. And when the story transitions to space, there's gonna be a lot of 'night sky' and I need it to look relatively nice.

So I'm going to be uploading pictures and sketches of practice while learning how to get this down. I've been watching videos and will be trying to see how others do this.

Let's see how it goes.

The first chapter pretty much happens at night, and since this is a primarily space themed series I need the night sky to look good. Yet I can't make it look... decent. It's a lot more difficult than I thought to draw on a computer. Especially since I lack experience with the medium for the most part.

I've been having some issues trying to recreate images on the computer, so it's taking me a bit to transfer these over. Notably sky and ground textures. I've been cross referencing different art styles and trying to find one that feels right. So hopefully this turns out well. I'm thinking about uploading chapter by chapter. Maybe some concept or design pieces here and there.

I've finally decided to try and share my art with the world. I haven't drawn in a very long time aside from small doodles or designs, but I have this project of mine I haven't had the courage to share.

It's a comic series called 'MY Time in the Universe'. I've shared small snippets before on Imgur and DeviantArt but Imgur doesn't like me and I got banned from Deviant for some reason. So, here I am. Back at the very first website I ever clicked into. Hopefully, I can make something of my series here. But that's the hope!

I'll be posting the first cover art here in a few hours, not that anyone here knows me yet. But to those who venture back in my history and find this... I want you to know one thing that took me forever to learn.

If you want to do something, but don't know how to get started, or maybe you don't know how to do it... just take a look at the screen. Look at your computer, phone, tablet, what have you. This is a super quantum computer compared to what we used to send man to the moon. It has all the world's information on it, and it's all just a click away.

So click. Click it and then you've take the first step. Search what you want to do, 'How to draw art on the computer' or 'How to code' or whatever you want to do. Watch a variety of people, they all have videos on different techniques to do things. Not everyone is gonna be level with the way you learn. Hell, I learn by just doing things. But my problem is just doing it. I lost my job recently, but that left me with a lot of free time. So now I've got no excuse. Just gotta do it. Just gotta do it.

So let's do it. We ain't got nothing better to do anyways. What is wealth when happiness is vacant?
